Palm Leaf

Materials Required

  1. Printer

  2. Paper

  3. Scissors

  4. Paper clips

  5. Green construction paper

  6. Scotch tape

  7. Green pipe cleaner (optional)

Instructions

  1. Click here to see the template and print it out (set the page margins to 0 before you print, this you can do from menu FILE -> PAGE SETUP or FILE -> PRINTER SETUP)

  2. Cut this template along the dotted line.

  3. Fold a piece of green construction paper in half and paper clip the template so the dotted line is along the fold.

  4. Cut through the template and both layers of construction paper along the black lines.

  5. Discard the template (unless you want to make more leaves).

  6. Unfold the construction paper to see your finished palm leaf.

  7. Tape a green pipe cleaner as a stem or Roll a second piece of green construction paper into as tight a tube as possible and tape it so it will stay.

  8. Tape that to the center as a stem

Materials Required

  1. Paper

  2. Printer

  3. Scissors

  4. Glue

  5. Crayons or something else to colour with

  6. Wool & Clear contact paper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Click here to see the template and print it out (set the page margins to 0 before you print, this you can do from menu FILE -> PAGE SETUP or FILE -> PRINTER SETUP)

  2. Cut the bookmark out (one big rectangle) and fold in half (left to right) along the center line

  3. Glue so it stays folded together dotted line is along the fold.

  4. Optional: Cover with clear contact paper so it lasts longer (you could also put a piece of cardboard in the center before gluing for a sturdier bookmark)

  5. Optional: Poke a hole in the top of the bookmark and tie a string/wool through as a tassel.

  6. Close the template window after printing to return to this screen
